PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Police in Providence continue to try and track down a suspect whom they consider to be “armed and dangerous.”

According to police, Daniel Zairis is wanted for firing a gun into a crowd at the Chad Brown housing complex Monday afternoon. Investigators believe the shots were fired as part of a feud between gangs.

Officers attempted to pull over Zairis’s car near the State House on Wednesday when police say he took off and led them on a chase, which ended with him knocking off the bumper of an unmarked cruiser and slamming into a three-story apartment building at the intersection of Orms and Bath Streets.

Eddy Lee, 18, was charged with possession of a firearm without a license.

Anyone with information about Zairis’s whereabouts should call the Providence Police Department at (401) 272-3121.
