PENSACOLA, Fla. (WPRI) — For the first time since one of their pilots was killed in a crash in Tennessee earlier this month, The Blue Angels held their first training mission in Pensacola Thursday morning.

In a Tweet, the elite jet team said “It was a good training day for us and we want to thank you so much for all of your support.”

Marine Capt. Jeff Kuss – the pilot of Blue Angel No. 6 – was killed June 2 after his jet went down while practicing for an airshow near Nashville.

The squad has been grounded since then.
