WOONSOCKET, R.I (WPRI) — The state’s highest court upheld a prior sentence for a Woonsocket man on Thursday.
Christian Rosado appealed his 25-year sentence connected with a shooting in March of 2013.
Prosecutors say Rosado and two others shot at a couple on the Fairmount Street Bridge, hitting one of the victims twice. That victim eventually had to have one of his legs amputated.
According to court documents, “The defendant maintains that the hearing justice erred in denying his motion for a mistrial based on what he perceived to have been the state’s discovery violation.”
However, the state Supreme Court upheld the Superior Court judgment.
