Shots fired into Fall River home

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) – Police responded to a report of shots fired Wednesday evening.

Police say it happened around 6 p.m. in the area of 5th and Morgan Streets.

An eyewitness told officers a man shot multiple rounds of bullets into a home, before fleeing west on Morgan Street.

Two shell casings were found at the scene.

Joe Souza heard what happened and said, “it sounded like firecrackers. I heard three shots, boom, boom, boom.”

“If it wasn’t for the police department, we’d be in deep trouble,” he added.

No injuries from the gunfire were reported.

At last check, police had not made any arrests.
