The two-passenger helicopter crashed early Friday afternoon near the shore in Chatham, Massachusetts.

Chatham police Lt. Michael Anderson says the male pilot and a female passenger were trapped in the helicopter, which was partially submerged in the pond.

He says both victims were conscious when crews responded.
