State police ID body found in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — Massachusetts State Police say they have identified a young woman found deceased Saturday in New Bedford, and have notified her family.

The woman’s body was found on Fillmore Street close to Mount Pleasant in New Bedford, State Police said Monday. The woman was between about 18 and 25 years old, was Hispanic, weighed about 175 pounds and was 5′ 2″ tall. She had several tattoos on her body, including “Jayden” on her right forearm, flowers on her right foot, a tribal tattoo with a music note on her right rib cage. On her left upper chest is a key with the words “loyalty” and “trust issues.”

Investigators have not released the woman’s name, but say her death does not appear to be suspicious.
