FREETOWN, Mass. (WPRI) – A woman was critically injured after being struck by a car while riding her bike Saturday.
Freetown’s police chief said it happened at about 1:30 Saturday afternoon on Route 18.
The victim, so far only described as a middle-aged woman, was riding a bicycle on the south side of the road when she was hit from behind by the car. She was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital before being flown to Mass General.
Police did not say whether or not the 18 year-old woman driving the car is facing any charges.
