Freshly painted road lines a factor in motorcycle crash

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WPRI) — One person is in the hospital after a motorcycle crash early Friday morning.

It happened at 1:40 a.m. on I-95 North, just after the Compton Road overpass in East Greenwich.

A 39-year-old man from Westbrook, Conn., was changing lanes when he lost control of his motorcycle, according to Rhode Island State Police; wet, freshly painted road lines played a role in the crash.

The victim was brought to Kent County Hospital with minor injuries.
