Drivers identified in head-on collision over the weekend

NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WPRI) — North Smithfield Police have announced that all drivers and passengers of a North Smithfield car crash that took place over the weekend have been identified.

The head-on collision between two cars occurred on Victory Highway by Pine Street on Sunday at 1:29 p.m, according to police.

One of the vehicles involved was driven by Tobah Darlington, 32, of Providence in a 2000 Toyota Solara stated a press release Tuesday.

The other driver was 84-year-old Raymond Marcotte, who was traveling with passenger Irene Marcotte, both of Bellingham.

Police say that Darlington had to be extricated from his car.

All three involved in the crash have been transported to Rhode Island Hospital and are reportedly in stable condition.
