RICHMOND, R.I. (WPRI) — Officers working the Washington County Fair made 22 arrests between August 17 and August 21.
Richmond Police say a majority of those offenses were related to alcohol. 13 people face misdemeanor charges for public drinking. Police also nabbed three underage people for possession of alcohol.
A West Warwick man was arrested on a bench warrant that was issued nearly two years ago. He was wanted for failing to appear in court on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
The five other people arrested at the Fairgrounds face various charges, including disorderly conduct, and assault and battery.
Authorities say none of the people they arrested during the Fair were residents of Richmond.
