Suspect wanted for several burglaries in elderly woman’s home

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) – Woonsocket police are trying to locate the man accused in several burglaries at an elderly woman’s home.

Nicholas Clement, 26, is currently homeless and has been seen riding a white mountain bike carrying a dark-colored backpack in the Woonsocket area.

Police say Clement may also frequent Kennedy Plaza in Providence.

The victim notified police after noticing her debit card was being used at several locations she never traveled to.

Police say that while the elderly victim was asleep, Clement would break into her home, take her debit card, car keys, and vehicle.  After making several cash withdrawals at various banks in Kennedy Plaza, he would return the vehicle, car keys and debit card while the victim was still asleep.

Clement is described as being 6’0″ tall, 152 lbs., slim build with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information on Clement’s whereabouts should contact police right away.
