Cranston Greek Festival returns this weekend

On Tuesday, we got ready to celebrate Greek culture with an annual event that always draws a large crowd.

The Cranston Greek Festival will be held Sept. 9-11 at Greek Orthodox Parish 175 Oaklawn Ave.

The 31st annual event will include authentic Greek food, live bands (Orfeas, Asteria, Hellenic Star), the Odyssey Dance Troupe – featuring more than 90 dancers – children’s area with face-painting and a bounce house, church tour, and a raffle.

The event is rain or shine and admission is free! Plus, free shuttle buses will be offered from Cranston West High School.


  • Friday: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday: Noon to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday: Noon to 9 p.m.
