Sakonnet Point, RI – The Coast Guard makes a rescue off the coast of Rhode Island.
The Coast Guard received a call around 9:15 Wednesday morning to a boat taking on water three miles south of Sakonnet Point with 4 people aboard.
When the crew arrived, the sailboat had four de-watering pumps running. The Coast Guard crew provided a fifth pump to keep up with the flooding.
The Little Compton Fire Department vessel arrived and treated the injured passenger before transporting that person to shore.
The boat was moored safely and the flooding was secured.
