NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) — Newport police are seeking the public’s help in tracking down a battery-powered tricycle that was stolen from an elderly man last weekend.

According to police, the tricycle was the man’s only form of transportation and it was taken while he was incapacitated.

Police said the tricycle is made by the brand Cozy Trike. It’s a similar model to the one pictured above but it does not feature a basket in the front.

Anyone with knowledge of the tricycle’s whereabouts is asked to contact Community Police Officer Josh Wildes at (401) 845-5864. The tricycle can also be returned to either the Newport Police Department or Community Police Office located at 514 Thames St.
