Portsmouth murder suspect ordered held without bail

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WPRI) – A Portsmouth woman has been ordered held without bail after pleading not guilty in connection with the murder of her husband.

An arraignment was held Thursday for Lisa Almeida-Laureanno.

She’s accused of firing multiple gunshots at her husband Manuel Laureanno back in May.

She only hit him once, but he died from his injuries.

She pleaded not guilty to the crime.

She is due back in court October 27th.
