PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The 2016 edition of the golfing, softball and auction events helmed by Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter and Rhode Island native Jeffrey Osborne has raised more than $200,000 for local non-profits, the organization announced Monday.
The friendly softball game, golf tournament and auction back on August 8th and 9th were the fifth annual outing for Osborne, who once again this year was joined by Earvin “Magic” Johnson, pitching for the “West” team of the softball game.
The golfing event, held at the Carnegie Abbey Club in Portsmouth, alone raised more than $100,000.
