Police searching for suspect in Lincoln car thefts

LINCOLN, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are seeking the public’s help in tracking down a man accused of stealing two vehicles from a home in Lincoln.

Town police said they responded to Old Louisquisset Pike on Aug. 23 for a reported burglary.

Two vehicles were stolen from the property during the burglary, according to police. Both were later recovered in Providence.

Police identified at least one of the suspects as George Santana.

Santana, 23, stands 5-foot-6, weighs about 185 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair, police said.

Investigators believe he may be in the greater Providence area.

Lincoln police also reminded residents to make sure to keep homes and vehicles locked and to report any suspicious activity.
