Eyewitness News extends Campaign 2016 Presidential Debate coverage to viewers across all platforms

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI (WPRI) – This election year, Eyewitness News is bringing viewers the most extensive, local coverage of Campaign 2016 on-air and on its digital platforms, including social media. On Monday, September 26th, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump confronted each other face-to-face in the first, televised Presidential debate. As the debate aired live on WPRI 12 and FOX Providence, Eyewitness News live streamed the debate for viewers on WPRI.com and to all of WPRI’s mobile platforms.

In addition, Eyewitness News gave viewers a chance to join the conversation with Debate Watch on Facebook Live. Hosted by Eyewitness News Reporters Tim White and Ted Nesi, Debate Watch brought together Political Analyst Joe Fleming, Republican Rep. Joe Trillo and former 3-time Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Myrth York for live analysis as the debate unfolded. Viewers were invited to join the conversation and send in their questions to be answered by the panel in real time.
