Cocktail Guru mixes up some drinks for fall


The Cocktail Guru, Jonathan Pogash, shows us how to mix up some delicious drinks for this autumn season!

The Trust Fall (Punch drink – serves approx 20)

  • 1 Bottle Rye Whiskey
  • 1 Bottle local sweet vermouth
  • 3 oz ginger liqueur
  • 1/2 gallon apple cider
  • 1/2 quart POM juice
  • 1//2 quart good quality lemonade


  1. Add to pitcher or punch bowl.
  2. When ready to serve, pour into glass with special ice.
  3. Garnish: apple slice and candied ginger

Autumn Mule

  • 1 oz Van Gogh wild Appel vodka
  • 1 oz Van Gogh Dutch caramel vodka
  • 2 oz hard cider
  • 2 oz ginger beer


  1. Add to mule mug with ice and stir briefly
  2. Garnish: lime squeeze inside the drink

Word to the Wise (Served at DNB burger in New Bedfod, MA, Fall cocktail menu debut in a couple of weeks)

  • 1 oz fino sherry
  • 2 oz hard cider
  • 2 dashes each wood and chocolate bitters
  • 2 Luxardo cherries


  1. Muddle the cherries in a mixing glass
  2. Add rest of ingredients with ice and stir well
  3. Strain into glass with ice
  4. Garnish: orange peel and slapped sage leaf
