COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) — Three people are facing charges after Coventry police said they discovered an enormous marijuana growing operation in a home on Log Bridge Road.

Investigators said they found 372 marijuana plants inside the house, and that “nearly every room” was being used to grow them.

According to police, an officer first noticed signs of the suspected growing operation in early September. Following a month-long investigation, officers raided the home on Thursday and arrested 58-year-old Zheng Zhenfang.

Police said they also arrested two New York women, 45-year-old Liqiong Zheng and 36-year-old Emily Tsang. The women were in Coventry asking what had happened to Zhenfang, according to police. Investigators said they determined Zheng and Tsang were also involved in the growing operation.

All three suspects were arraigned in court Friday.
