BOSTON (WPRI) — The Boston Red Sox have their backs against the wall, but their season has been extended by at least one more day.

Game 3 of the ALDS – scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday at Fenway Park – has been postponed due to the rain.

Boston will instead look to keep their season alive Monday night, with Clay Buchholz set to take the mound.

The first pitch is scheduled for 6:08 p.m.

The Red Sox dropped the first two games of the best-of-five series against the Cleveland Indians by scores of 5-4 and 6-0.

Eyewitness Sports director Yianni Kourakis will have another update from Fenway Park on Fox Providence and WPRI-12 after the debate.
