One killed, three hurt in Lakeville collision

LAKEVILLE, Mass. (WPRI) – Police are investigating a crash that left one person dead and three others injured Sunday morning.

It happened at about 10:10 a.m. on Bedford Street near Tamarack Park and involved two motorcycles and one car.

According to police, a 77 year-old man who had been driving one of the motorcycles was pronounced dead at the scene. His 74 year-old passenger was taken to Rhode Island Hospital by a medical helicopter.

The other motorcycle driver, a 53 year-old man, was taken by ambulance to Rhode Island Hospital.

The driver of the car, a 56 year-old woman, went to Morton Hospital.

Police are reconstructing the crash and are not yet releasing the names of those people involved until notifications of family members are completed.
