Crews demolish building that caught fire twice

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — Crews have torn down a multi-family home that caught fire twice within the same week.

An excavator and a pile of debris marked the spot Monday where the Robeson Street triple-decker once stood.

The building had been vacant since a fire on Oct. 3 forced out the families living there. Firefighters said an overheated motor was likely to blame.

Another fire broke out in the same building seven days later, which firefighters said was suspicious.
