PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — In an op-ed for Sunday’s Providence Journal, Curt Schilling delivered several claims defending what happened in the 38 Studios deal with Rhode Island that went sour.

Schilling called then-Gov. Lincoln Chafee inept and said the state misled his team by only giving two-thirds of the loan proceedings.

“Less than two weeks prior to the move to Providence…we were informed of the change in the bond amount,” he wrote.

Eyewitness News found the official state fact sheet from before the close, and it clearly stated that 38 Studios would only receive $51 million.

Schilling will appear on WPRO Radio Tuesday morning.
