Fall River police on hunt for hit-and-run driver

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — Fall River police say they’re reviewing surveillance video in hopes it will help them track down a hit-and-run driver.

Police were called to Troy Street around 2 a.m. Friday after someone reported damage left behind by a vehicle.

It appears a driver went on to the sidewalk and hit a pole and a tree, then knocked a fire hydrant from its base.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Fall River police.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.
