Central Falls is switching to LED streetlights

Central Falls City Hall

CENTRAL FALLS, RI (WPRI) – The city started installing the new LED lights across from Ella Risk Elementary School today.

The city partnered with the Wakefield-based non profit Prism Streetlights for the project.

The city bought 200 of the lights for a total of $330,000.

The new streetlights offer more light, use less energy, and cost less to operate.

The new LED lights will also save the city close to $97,000 a year.
