CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Vehicle registration services at the Rhode Island Division of Motor Vehicles have been restored.
Earlier today, the DMV was unable to process new and transfer registrations due to a vendor service disruption.
Officials told Eyewitness News, technology vendor R.L. Polk & Co., of Southfield, Michigan experienced a system-wide issue that affected all its clients.
Polk resolved the problem after several hours.
The DMV apologized for the inconvenience to customers who had to be turned away.
