PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The UHIP communications team released an update Thursday afternoon following their problem-plagued launch.
According to a release, customers should expect to receive next month’s benefits on November 1st as scheduled, however the state is still facing some issues.
A worker portal outage was reported Thursday at 7:30 a.m.
Staff at the Department of Human Services were still able to assist customers through the customer portal.
There also continues to be an application backlog. As of Wednesday, 768 applications were submitted, but only 506 were approved.
There were more than 9,000 outstanding applications as of the end of the business day on Wednesday.
