PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island drivers are paying the same at the pump this week as they were in recent weeks.
AAA Northeast reports Monday that the cost of self-serve, regular gas still averages about $2.24 per gallon.
That average remains unchanged from the last two weeks but is still three cents above the national average of $2.21.
The average price for gas in Rhode Island was 10 cents lower a year ago.
AAA found self-serve, regular unleaded gas selling for as low as $2.04 to as high as $2.39 per gallon.

In Massachusetts, drivers are paying the same at the pump this week as they were last week.
AAA Northeast reports that the cost of self-serve, regular remains unchanged in the past week at an average of $2.14 per gallon.
That price is 7 cents per gallon lower than the national average but 8 cents higher than the in-state price a year ago.
AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $2.05 to as high as $2.34 per gallon.
