JOHNSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Crews have extinguished a fire that broke out Monday at a Johnston store.

According to Johnston Fire Chief Timothy McLaughlin, a dumpster truck knocked down power lines outside the Rite Aid on Atwood Avenue just after 8 a.m.

The lines then struck the building, causing a small fire.

McLaughlin said the truck left without realizing what had happened.

The store will remain closed until the Health Department inspects the food products inside.
