Police ID man who died in Seekonk crash

SEEKONK, Mass. (WPRI) — Police on Monday identified a Pawtucket man who died after crashing his car in Seekonk over the weekend.

Officers attempted to pull over a car on Fall River Avenue just after 9 p.m. Saturday for a motor vehicle violation, according to police.

Police said the driver, 29-year-old Tony Ramos, failed to stop before he crashed into a utility pole on Arcade Avenue.

Emergency crews extricated Ramos from the car and rushed him to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the incident remains under investigation.
