WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation is set to introduce another change in the sprawling Apponaug Circulator renovations later this month.

Post Road East, as it curves from east-west to the Post Road Extension going north-south, will be affected. The north-south segment from West Shore Road to Veterans Memorial Drive will become two-way, and the southbound lane traffic will need to curve around the round bit of a roundabout resembling a teardrop. West-to-east traffic, remaining one-way for now, will swerve to the right and go past the intersection with West Shore Road and the point of the teardrop.

RIDOT said Monday other changes will follow later in the month.

They advise drivers to always yield to traffic already in the circle as they approach each roundabout.
