Suspect in Halloween killing held without bail

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — One of three suspects arrested in connection with a Halloween night shooting murder in Pawtucket was ordered held without bail Tuesday.

According to the Rhode Island Attorney General’s office, Julio Cano, 32, of Framingham, is charged with the murder of Matthew Reverdes, conspiracy to commit murder, and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.

Two other suspects have also been arrested in connection with the killing, Trearra Hudgen, 26, of Hartford, Conn., and Juscelina DaSilva, 33, of Providence. The Hartford woman was held as a fugitive from justice in Connecticut; and the Providence suspect was held at the ACI in Cranston.

Reverdes was shot and killed the evening of October 31 on Harrison Avenue in Pawtucket. He later died from his injuries at a local hospital.

He leaves behind a 7-year-old daughter.

Cano is due back in court for a bail hearing November 22.
