Chef Ashley Vanasse from The Cafe at Easy Entertaining joined The Rhode Show to make Turkey Bourbon Gravy.
Roasting Pan with turkey drippings,nieck and giblets
2 cups vegetable scraps or chopped carrotscelery and onions
1 cup BOURBON
1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/3 cup Butter unsalted
4 cups Turkey Stock
1/4 cup heavy cream
Coarse salt and ground pepper
Chop giblets an add to roasting pan while turkey is roasting.
Once done, remove turkey form pan and allow to rest
Place pan on 2 burners
Bring drippings to a boil 8 -10 mins
Add bourbon and cook stirring for 8 – 10 mins
Add flour gradually add broth and simmer to desired thickness
Remove pan from heat
Pour gravy through a mesh container.
Discard the solids
Season with salt and pepper and keep warm
