Police investigate two separate overnight crashes

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are investigating two overnight crashes in Pawtucket and Providence.

The first one happened around 1:30 a.m. on Benefit Street in Pawtucket. One car rolled on its side in front of a parked car that was also damaged.

An Eyewitness News crew saw an ambulance leave the scene.

The fire department did not say how many people were in the car or if any of them were hurt.

And around 2 a.m., emergency crews responded to the corner of Allens Avenue and Globe Street, after a car hit a pole. Only one car was involved in the crash. It’s unclear what caused it or if anyone was hurt.
