DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WPRI) — A new house in Dartmouth that was still under construction was destroyed in a fire overnight.

Officials said neighbors called the fire department around 2 a.m. Tuesday when they saw flames coming from the house on Faunce Corner Road.

The house is located on a dead end, which made it difficult for crews to get water to the area.

The foundation of the house is all that remains. There was no power to the house at the time of the fire, according to officials.

There were no injuries to any firefighters.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
