WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Drivers traveling north or south on Interstate 95 near Exit 8 in West Warwick weren’t getting anywhere fast late Tuesday evening.

State police say a 25-foot meat delivery truck was traveling in the left lane around 3:46 p.m., when it went through the median, struck a guardrail and rolled over onto its side.

Corporal Gorman said two northbound lanes were closed while emergency crews cleared the scene.

The crash tied up traffic on both sides of the Interstate. Traffic began to move again once police cleared the scene around 5:15 p.m.

Gorman told Eyewitness News the rainy weather appeared to be to blame for the crash.

He said no one was hurt in the crash. No word on any charges related to the incident.
