PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A former Providence College student has filed a lawsuit against another local university.
According to court documents, the lawsuit stems from a complaint made in February 2014.
In the complaint, the woman, referred to as Jane Doe, stated she was drugged and sexually assaulted by three Brown University football players in a dorm room on campus back in November of 2013.
The accused students were never charged.
This week, Jane Doe accused Brown university and two of its deans of violating Title IX policies including acting with “deliberate indifference” in her previous lawsuit, stated court documents.
Brown University commented on the lawsuit and stated in part: “We are confident in the decision made at Brown related to Jane Doe’s allegations and we will respond as appropriate through the legal process.”
