TAUNTON, Mass. (WPRI) – Police are investigating a hit and run case, which sent one person to Rhode Island Hospital.
Taunton Police told Eyewitness News they have not made any arrests, but said they believe they found the vehicle involved in the crash and know who is responsible.
Eyewitness News is told a man in his 30’s was dragged by a pickup truck almost two blocks before he was left near Bay Street in Taunton Tuesday night around 8:45pm.
The man suffered a severe leg injury, but police said he was still able to give officers information about the identity of the driver.
An eyewitness nearby said the man kept saying “help me.”
“He was doing a lot of talking before the ambulance came,” said Nichole Silva. “People were just trying to get him to keep talking.”
