CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WPRI) — Law enforcement officials across the Ocean State were at the Ella Risk School in Central Falls kicking off the “Kids, Cops and Christmas Program.”
State Police, the Attorney General and other law enforcement officials want to make sure every kid gets a toy this Christmas.
Several local companies donated toys, with one lucky child taking home a giant teddy bear.
Officers also brought with them unwrapped gifts, with the goal of giving 1,000 presents for 1,000 children.
This is the ninth year Rhode Island law enforcement have participated in this program.
