WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — A portion of Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick has been reopened after a pole came crashing down into the road early Tuesday morning.
A car crash caused the pole to fall, according to city police. It’s not clear if there were any injuries.
The road was closed in both directions for some time as crews worked to clear the scene.

Police said it was a Verizon pole that fell and it’s believed only one building was affected.
