NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A man who crashed into a Burger King restaurant in North Providence on Wednesday has died, town police confirm.
According to Deputy Police Chief Charles Davey, the crash took place on Mineral Spring Avenue just after 11 a.m.
Investigators believe the driver suffered a medical issue before hitting the building.
Davey said it appeared the man in his 60’s died as a result of the medical issue, not the crash.
The man’s car struck two other vehicles prior to hitting the building, according to Davey. No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
