In the Kitchen: Fried Squash Flowers

Chef David Ashworth, of Parma Ristorante, joined us in The Rhode Show kitchen to show us how to make their Fried Squash Flowers.


  • Squash Flowers
  • Provolone cheese
  • Prosciutto di Parma
  • Flour
  • Egg
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Grated cheese


  1. Take squash flower and stuff it with provolone cheese and prosciutto
  2. Lightly dip in an egg batter
  3. Pan fry and place over a San Marzano tomato sauce with garnish.
