It’s been 8 years since we’ve had a White Christmas in Rhode Island.  In 2009, we had five inches of snow on the ground on Christmas morning.  A White Christmas is defined as at least 1″ of snow on the ground on Christmas.  While we’ve had some snow around on more recent Christmases, we haven’t had an official Christmas in quite some time.
