Warm and humid air will combine with an approaching cold front to spark showers and thunderstorms in interior New England this afternoon and evening. The Storm Prediction Center has western and northern New England under a “slight risk” for severe storms, while areas from Boston to Providence and Hartford are under a “marginal risk”.
