Of course, the food was plentiful and delicious! Everyone contributed their favorite dishes- Grandpa David brought the stuffing, I made my pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, Uncle Terry made asparagus and Auntie Crisi made a plethora of to-die-for dishes!
The food wasn’t the best part of the day, though. It was all the fun we had together as a family! We spent some time around the fire with the football game on screen, and then took advantage of the 57 degree weather in Johnston to play outside! We played some basketball (yes, I played in my heels!), and even spent some time in the treehouse! It felt good to get moving, and we had to make room for dessert after an indulgent dinner!
Once the sun began to set we headed inside for some family-fun board games- Apples to Apples and Luck of the Draw (two that I would highly suggest you play, if you haven’t already!)
When I finally got home for the evening and sat down I immediately FELL ASLEEP! Boy, was I tired… thankful, joyous, and very tired.
