Providence strip club owners oppose proposed private booth ban

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – The group that represents the majority of Providence’s adult entertainment venues is willing to discuss strategies to curb prostitution, but is opposed to any proposal that would ban private booths from the clubs.

The R.I. Entertainment Association, a trade organization that represents the Satin Doll, Foxy Lady, Cadillac Lounge, Club Fantasies and Club Desire, wants to meet with the Taveras administration to propose changes the clubs are willing to make, according to Eric Robichaud, a spokesman for the group.
