38 Studios lobby violation hearings begin, delay requested

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – A hearing into possible lobbying violations by a key figure in the 38 Studios deal was continued for a week, but a lawyer for the state said he wants the proceedings completed “as soon as possible.”

    Why no article about the letter recently sent to state retirees from Richard Licht informing them that their health care plan under united health will cease to exist on September 30?
    This despite the projo article in January 2014 about the state signing a 3 yr. agreement with united to provide the plans.
    the letter was conveniently mailed out after Licht was cleared for a judgeship and was signed only by him. (he who makes no administrative decisions)
    The state has hired an out of state company to whom retirees must apply.
    It appears they have already shared confidential employee info with this global provider.
    Gina Raimondo’s recent mailing about supposedly rosy returns in the pension fund made no mention of this major change, which appears to be yet another Cut to retirees’ agreed upon benefits.
