It’s A Good Week For a Home Opener

A warming trend starts today and continues for the next several days!

After starting in the 30s, highs should climb into the low to mid 60s today.  Even the south coast could sneak into the low 60s before falling back into the 60s with a sea breeze from the middle to the later part of the afternoon.

On average, winds will be around 5-15mph from the northwest, that’s much better than the non-stop 30 mph winds gusts we had on Saturday!

Milder But Breezier Monday

Temperatures will climb even higher on Monday with highs inland into the upper 60s, even a few low 70s are possible.  However, it will also be breezier, and you will especially notice this along the coast in the afternoon with winds 10-20 mph with gust up to 25 mph.  This also means coastal temperatures will be quite a bit cooler than inland spots: costal highs will be in the upper 50s on Monday.

Paw Sox Monday Night

It should be a beautiful night at McCoy with first pitch temperatures in the low 60s, then 50s by the end of the game.  It will likely be a little breezy for pregame activities and the first part of the game.  I have been at several home openers in the past in a hat and gloves…you won’t need to do that this year!

Tuesday will be even milder with low 70 possible inland; cooler at the coast with upper 50s to low 60s. Have a good Sunday! -Pete Mangione
