It’s going to be one of the coldest nights of the fall season so far… cold enough to see a widespread frost in southern New England. It would be the first frost of the season for most of RI and southeastern MA, which is why the advisory is issued. If you want to keep plants and sensitive vegetation growing, you’ll need to cover them or bring them inside.
Ahead of frost conditions, we’ll see dry air, clear skies and diminishing winds for trick-or-treating. Overall, spook-tacular conditions for ghosts and goblins as long as you layer up under your costumes.
Temperatures will cool quickly… with late night lows in the mid 30s.
For those still waiting for their power to be restored, homes will turn quite chilly. You may want to dig your scraper out of storage, as windshields will be covered in frost early tomorrow morning.
